1) Can I step out to withdraw money from the ATM?

2) Can I go out for a jog in the morning? Is it ok to go to the park in the neighbourhood for my morning walk?

Yes, you can go out for a jog in the morning but only individually. However, under the current circumstances, it is best to avoid outdoor activities and going to the park. In case you find a time of the day when there is no one around, you can take a quick stroll in the park.

3) What about walking the pets outside?

Walking the pets in community spaces is prohibited. You can walk them just outside your house but not in any public space.

No

5) Is it safe to use the lift in my building where there are multiple apartments in the complex?

Yes, you can. However, you will have to ensure that you maintain proper hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene. You can try disposable gloves and face mask to protect yourself from catching the infection through the lift buttons.

6) What if I need to visit the clinic and meet my doctor or need to visit the hospital? How safe is it at present?

You can visit the doctor by carrying a prescription along with the appointment card with you. First, check if the clinic is open or not before stepping out. Under the current circumstance, it is not completely safe to visit a hospital, more so if you are above the age of 60 or suffering from co-morbidities. However, if you have to visit the hospital for screening, dialysis, etc, inform your healthcare official from before and make sure you wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from others.

7) What if I experience flu-like symptoms? Should I visit a hospital or just quarantine will do?

If you experience flu-like symptoms, it is best to consult a local doctor first. Do not head to the hospital straight away as it can expose you to the infection. You can call 104 (medical helpline) for help.

8) What if there is an urgent requirement to repair appliances and gadgets at home during the lockdown?

If you are a senior citizen living alone, you can reach out to the senior citizen helpline and the local beat officials will try to help you.

9) With a majority of conveyance services shut, how is it possible to make seniors travel for a doctor or dispensary visit if they do not own a personal car?

You can call an ambulance or 104 (medical helpline) for assistance. You can also dial 100 and inform the police who will help you. You can also approach any police vehicle in the neighbourhood and seek help.

10) Will I be able to leave my city/state?

Several states have sealed their borders and only essential services and emergency cases are being allowed to cross. Travel only if you must.

No. You don’t need to stock essential items. There is enough stock available in the market and hoarding it won’t be useful.

14) Can we travel from one city to another in personal cars?

No, most cities are under lockdown.

15) Can RWAs or housing societies ban house helps from entering society during a lockdown?

House helps are also required to stay home. If there is an emergency case where an elderly or ailing person needs help, you can contact the police.
